Meet the Founder: Maiye Waller
Maiye Waller is the passionate founder and Executive Director of The Mace Anthony Williamson Foundation (TMAWF), an organization born from a deeply personal journey and unwavering commitment to serving families in need.

In 2017, Maiye experienced an unimaginable loss when her son, Mace Anthony Williamson, passed away 12 days after birth due to complications from a birth injury. While navigating the profound grief of losing her child, Maiye discovered a purpose rooted in advocacy, support, and healing. She founded TMAWF to honor Mace’s memory and ensure that other families facing similar challenges would have access to the resources, care, and community they need.

Under her leadership, TMAWF focuses on addressing maternal health disparities, advocating for infant loss awareness, and empowering underserved families. Programs such as the Doula Project Resource Program and the Bright Start Family Assistance Program reflect her dedication to creating tangible solutions that address the systemic barriers impacting families, especially within African American communities.

Maiye’s mission goes beyond simply providing aid—it’s about creating brighter futures, fostering resilience, and amplifying the voices of families often left unheard. Her work is driven by a profound belief that every family deserves access to the tools, support, and compassion they need to thrive.

Through TMAWF, Maiye has turned her pain into purpose, transforming her son’s legacy into a movement of hope, empowerment, and meaningful change.
